Terms of service

Last updated: 4 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Composal's website, web app, and related services, operated by L6 Software LTD trading as Composal, registered in England and Wales under company number 17436925, with registered office at 3rd Floor 1 Ashley Road, Altrincham, Cheshire, United Kingdom, WA14 2DT. Contact support@composal.ai with questions.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. An agreed order form or other signed agreement takes priority over these terms to the extent of a conflict. Our privacy policy explains our handling of personal information.

2. The service and your account

Composal provides tools for testing web applications, running AI browser agents and acceptance scenarios, exploring user journeys, and reviewing findings, recordings, and reproduction steps. Features, availability, and limits depend on your plan and configuration.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement. Provide accurate account details, keep credentials secure, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise, your organisation's users, and the permissions and integrations you configure.

3. Authorised testing and acceptable use

Only test applications and connect data sources you own or have permission to access and test. You are responsible for choosing suitable environments, setting test boundaries, supplying authorised test accounts, and obtaining any necessary notices, permissions, and consents.

  • Do not use Composal for unlawful activity, unauthorised access, exploitation, harassment, or infringement of another person's rights.
  • Do not upload malicious content, attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or expose credentials you are not authorised to use.
  • Do not direct agents to make purchases, send messages, delete records, or take other consequential actions without appropriate authority and safeguards.
  • Use disposable accounts and data where practical. Avoid unnecessary sensitive personal information and restrict access to reports and recordings.

We may restrict activity that threatens security, breaches these terms, or exceeds applicable service limits.

4. AI results and your decisions

AI agents and automated tests can make mistakes, miss defects, produce inaccurate findings, or take unexpected actions. A passing run does not establish that an application is secure, compliant, accessible, or free of defects. Review findings and evidence before relying on them, and maintain appropriate human oversight and backups. You remain responsible for release decisions and actions taken in applications you ask us to test.

5. Your content and our intellectual property

You retain your rights in content you provide, including specifications, code, test scenarios, and application data. You grant us permission to access, host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content as necessary to provide, secure, and support the service and perform tasks you request. You confirm you have the rights needed to grant this permission.

As between you and us, you may use the reports and outputs generated for your workspace, subject to third-party rights and applicable law. We do not guarantee that AI outputs are unique or qualify for intellectual-property protection. We retain rights in Composal's software, brand, and service technology. Your subscription permits use of the service; it does not transfer ownership of that technology.

6. Plans, fees, and third-party services

Prices, usage charges, billing periods, and any renewal terms are shown when you purchase a plan or in your order form. You agree to pay those charges and applicable taxes. Cancel through the available account controls or contact us; cancellation takes effect under your plan's stated terms. Refunds are governed by your order, the terms shown at purchase, and applicable law. We will notify you of material price changes before they apply.

Integrations, AI providers, and other third-party services may have separate terms, charges, and availability limits. You are responsible for your use of connected accounts and for reviewing permissions. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to third-party services.

7. Privacy and confidentiality

Each party must protect non-public information received from the other and use it only for the service or as otherwise authorised. This does not cover information that is public without a breach, independently developed, or lawfully received from another source. Disclosure may be made to personnel and providers who need it for the service, or where required by law.

You are responsible for the lawfulness of personal information you submit and the instructions you give us. Where we process personal information on your organisation's behalf, the applicable data-processing agreement governs that processing. These terms do not replace any data-processing agreement required by law.

8. Availability, suspension, and termination

We may change or maintain the service and may suspend access for security reasons, unlawful activity, material breach, or unpaid charges. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. You may stop using the service and request account closure by contacting us. Ending an account does not cancel charges already incurred.

Export information you need before access ends. We handle retained information and deletion requests as described in the privacy policy and any applicable agreement. Provisions intended to continue after termination, including accrued payment obligations, confidentiality and intellectual property, survive.

9. Service quality

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Contact support@composal.ai if you experience a service problem so we can investigate and help resolve it.

10. Changes, disputes, and general provisions

We may update these terms and will publish the revised version and date. We will give appropriate notice of material changes. If you do not agree, stop using the service and contact us about ending your account before the changes take effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Business disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in their local courts.

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Contact support@composal.ai to raise a dispute or send a notice.
